Collectively referred to as “The Vanities”, the Hair & Make-Up Departments prepare on-camera talent for the big screen. Their work can also be essential to executing special effects and maintaining on-screen continuity.

Requirements

Resume: Mandatory

Certifications CPR + Standard 1st Aid + AED: Recommended

Driver’s License: Recommended

E.T.C.P. : Recommended

Ontario Hairdressing licence: Mandatory

WHMIS: Mandatory

Worker-Health and Safety Awareness: Mandatory

Have you attended a post-secondary program or apprenticeship in your area of interest: Recommended

Have you attended a workshop or seminar in your area of interest:Recommended

Name of a professional employed in the entertainment industry who is willing to be your reference:Recommended

Proof of one year or 200 days of experience in theatre, film or television in the selected trade: Recommended

Proof of two years or 400 days of work experience in the selected trade: Recommended

Knowledge of period designs / styles: Recommended

Training Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act: Recommended

Wigs – more than 1 yr experience: Recommended
