Wardrobe Requirements

The Wardrobe Department is responsible for choosing, coordinating, fitting, and constructing every garment you see in a given film, television show, or commercial.

Requirements

Resume: mandatory

Certifications CPR + Standard 1st Aid + AED: Recommended

Driver’s License: Recommended

E.T.C.P.: Recommended

Elevated Work Platform (Lift): Recommended

Forklift: Recommended

WHMIS: Mandatory

Worker-Health and Safety Awareness: Mandatory

Working at Heights: Recommended

Name of a professional employed in the entertainment industry who is willing to be your reference: Recommended

Please name three members within the Costume department who endorse your application for permit status in the dept: recommended

Proof of one year or 200 days of experience in theatre, film or television in the selected trade: Recommended

Proof of two years or 400 days of work experience in the selected trade: Recommended

Knowledge of alterations & garment construction: Recommended

Knowledge of fabric content & garment care: Recommended

Knowledge of period designs / styles recommended Pattern Making – more than 1 yr experience: Recommended

Sewing – more than 1 yr experience: Recommended

Training Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act: Recommended
